Alan started The Sports Business in 1995 and has over 20 years experience in sponsorship and PR. He was Commercial Consultant to the Scotland Football Team for the World Cup in 82, 86 and 90, and was Media and Commercial Consultant to Rangers FC before The Sports Business, where he has been involved with most of the major football sponsorships in Scotland.

A member of the Marketing Society and the IPR, Alan has been on the judging panel for the Sportscotland "Business in Sport" awards since its inception.
